We love movies here at CAB. Once we're open, we can't wait to host a weekly movie night on our lawn whenever the weather cooperates. We figured we'd kick it off a little early by showing one of our favorite movies filmed in Houston, Wes Anderson's wickedly funny and wonderfully eccentric private school comedy Rushmore. Attendance was fantastic, and we even partnered up with Buffalo Bayou and St. Arnold’s and had kegs of their respective Chai Porter collaboration with us, and Divine Reserve 11. We even had some tasting portions of Divine Reserve 12 to hand out for the lucky early birds! Check out the photographic highlights from the day below, courtesy of our very talented photographer, Jen Mok!
Our second annual Oktoberfest celebration had three brews on hand, including the premiere of our Leaf Drop Oktoberfest! Served along with new tweaks of old favorites Vexation Weizenbock and Bayouwulf India Black Ale, these brews helped us usher in autumn around City Acre. Not to be outdone, the food also dressed to impress. Our house made, pecan-smoked
garlic & pepper sausage, wrapped in a corn husk was a big hit, as was our homemade sauerkraut and broetchen! Photos below, provided by Joanna Mok.
